This is my second time staying at the NCBC SeaBee Naval Base. It is recommend to make reservations ahead of time and Max stay is 6 months. The experience overall is very pleasant. Currently the monthly charge as of 2018 is $435 a month and there are two RV parks with full hook-up with sewer/water & electric upto 50amp service. The pads are all concrete and you are 15 minutes away from the coast and a couple casinos. The RV Park is always having events and get togethers. There is a great priced movie theatre on post, a gas station, places to eat, fix your car, get groceries. Check out the Seabee lake for catch and release fishing and canoeing and the dog park.
We just concluded our 5 day stay and i thought it was pretty decent. The convenience of the commissary/nex was good. The fact that they have a lake on the base to fish (catch and release only) plus free canoeing was perfect for our family! The life vests and oars where right there, didn't have to sign anything out. Along with the lake was a park and basketball court. 12 mins away from the beach. My only vice was the train that went by at 7am and 10pm blowing its horn! But otherwise great!
There are actually 2 RV parks here on base: original by the main gate and new on the other side of the base. We stayed on the original section and has a huge pull-through concrete site. However, it was a bit noisy with traffic and a nearby railway yard. We went over to the new site to check it out and the sites there seemed perfect as well, but definitely more remote and quiet. There is a nice BX and Comm on base that met our needs well. They also have a nice gas station on base that is RV friendly with Diesel! We will be stopping here again in future trips!
Friendly staff, fairly nice facilities in the old section. New section near the Perimeter Rd is more secluded. A bit of train noise and more than a few sirens. Convenient to Gulfport and Biloxi.
The only downfall (( there are East / west and south / North )) bound trains that encompass the base if you aren't used to them, they will drive a sane person crazy. It seems like they will blow their train horns for 20 miles all hours of the day because people keep trying to kill themselves by driving in front of the trains because they can't drive.
