The way the office bills is unbelievable. They double bill you- you are charged for what is considered a hospital fee and dr office fee since his office is a part of Memorial. This should be something that is explained to new patients as I feel it is highly deceiving to have patients wait until receiving a bill and find out they are charged for all services received TWICE! Insurance typically does not pay both fees and thus you pay the difference. I called and spoke to my insurance carrier, GEHA through united healthcare which is a federal plan, and they said hardly any dr offices bill this way any longer for this exact reason.
