This has to be the most horrible medical experience I have ever witnessed. I accompanied a friend with a severe GI condition. This was to be a follow up appointment for a "treatment plan" he put her on that had not worked. He said he could not help her, and told her she made him "feel stupid" for coming to see him when he can't do anything. She shed a tear, and then he told her to stop she was making HIM feel bad. He went in circles on anything I asked him about, made no sense, was EXTREMELY condescending, said she needed a GI specialist in her area, became offended when we asked for referrals to such, said she needed pain management, asked for that referral then he went back to saying she needed a specialist. He lied about what he had done with her previously, how often she had seen him, and basically made her feel like trash. VERY RUDE (as was his nurse which treated us with NO compassion). An awful, AWFUL human being!
If it were not for Dr Berot's positive aggressive care to find out 'Why" I've been so sick for so long I'd still be suffering on a daily basis.
He's been my Gastrointerologist since I moved to Mississippi, 5 years ago, and I am truly blessed to have him and his team on my side.
The worst healthcare experience I have ever had. This guy walked into the examining room while looking at a clipboard, and did not once make eye contact with me. He asked me if I was taking antibiotics for stomach pain, I replied that yes I was. He told me to keep taking them. That was it. Appointment over. I then got a bill for $113 bill after insurance for less than 90 seconds of "care".
I waited over 45 minutes for the first scheduling appointment. For the test results I waited for 45 minutes in the waiting room before I had to leave. My time is as important to me as his time is to him. I will get my test results and any follow up will be with a different doctor.
My previous review was based on erroneous information. I'm retracting it and giving Dr. Barot a couple more stars based on the good service I got today from his office regarding a billing dispute.
I am So very thankful for his true care and concern for my health and welfare. He is the Only Dr that I've seen in the past year that has found the root cause of why ive been so very sick.
