Been to this building many times over the years for tags and title transfers. I must be one of the lucky ones because I have never had a problem. I'm usually in there for no longer than 10 minutes and do not recall anyone ever being rude to me.
This place is so so horrible. I have been calling for the last 3 weeks to get my tag renewed and all I keep getting is the answering service. This is unacceptable. I am on Active Duty stationed in North Carolina and don't have the ability to just walk in for service. You guys should be ashamed of yourself and the service you fail to provide. I even went online to renew my license and the mailing address is wrong. I clearly when we moved to NC in 2015 told you guys to change the mailing address to my parents home so that I could get my tag renewal sticker through them. Yall even failed to do that, so now I am unable to renew it online because it has our old address from when we lived there. Can't believe this is a city ran business. Just plum horrible is what yall are, wish there was something less than a one star to give yall. You guys don't even deserve the one star. How about I just give yall a dot, for existence. To get tags for a car purchased out of state it only took 3 trips 3 afternoons dealing with them. If they would just answer the phones we could have done it in a single visit. But they just simply will not answer the phones. When I was in there I never actually heard a phone ring. I think they have all of the ringers turned off.
The 2 positive reviews must be people that are related to employees or they work there themselves. There is no way you could have a positive remark about this office.
Just spent 3 hours calling their offices with no answer even tho it was during business hours this place is a disgrace and needs to be investigated by the BBB because obviously someone's not doing their job.
They will not answer the phone no matter how busy or not they are. Their service level is horrible!!!!
Utter incompetence and ignorance...it's astounding how archaic the system in MS is to get a tag. My husband was AD military, I have never in my life had so much trouble registering a car as I have had here. They absolutely WI'LL NOT answer their phones, in between my full time job I have tried to call them in regard's to a vehicle my in-laws purchased for me out of state...I finally, after 300 calls over the span of 30 days, got the rudest most condescending person on the phone and got some answers as to what to bring etc...I go today, take time out of my busy work and home life to go stand in line in this ancient building with what seems like no ac, wait for 45 minutes with my 7 year old in tow. Get to the counter, asked 5 times if I had and lien against the car...answered each time no I paid cash in full, upon the last time being asked I asked what she meant by lien since she obviously was not taking my answer..she said "do you make payments?"I once again reiterated that no, it was paid for and the title in her hand. Then she goes on to tell me that my license is not proof enough of my address, nor is the registration they sent for my other car! I must have a utility bill in my name...well all of our bills are in my husbands so how am I supposed to swing that?! Needless to say, I have wasted all this this time for nothing. What a joke! What's more funny about it, the phones never rang once in my hour of standing there. Obvious they have the ringers off. Pathetic service by very pathetic and ignorant people. I will go over the state lines and just register my cars in FL where we have property and where people have at least a 3rd grade education unlike here.
