My first time here staff very nice,clean, my grandchild enjoyed doing all activities.They are remodeling upstairs but still had plenty to do for kids.We enjoyed our self and plan to go back hopefully when we do the remodeling is done.
Wonderful activities for the kidos!! There is a Jeep in the African exhibit with stuffed animals indigenous to Africa and cut. There’s also areas for tea parties for the little girls. They also have a model train that the kids can play in. The crafts were so cute, they painted crab shells for Christmas ornaments.
We love Lynn Meadows Discovery Center! The museum has something for kids from toddler to pre-teen. It's educational, hands on and fun! There are great outside treehouses and other places to play. We still go to LMDC even though the kids are older for their Theater Program, WiNGS. They have homeschool programs and much more! I highly recommend LMDC whether you're a local or a tourist.
Bad experience!!! I do not even want to give one star. We have been to Lynn Meadows several times before today without any issues. It was a field trip with special needs students. Not only was the lady that discussed "orientation" with us rude, but the cashier and the gentleman at the front door were rude as well. We were told several times to stay in one area with our children. We had 7 adults with this group of children, but were not allowed to move to different areas of the center. Any time one of our students played with an item, the gentleman came behind us and cleaned it up. Our children were not allowed to explore or even have a great time due to the staff. We will not be returning here again.
It was wonderful to see the children have so much fun. Perhaps because they could touch everything in the center and no one to say " don't touch that"
